The weather began to clear early Sunday morning and left us with mostly sunny conditions for the remainder of the day. I removed most of the contents from the bed of my truck which had been water soaked since arriving on the island for a good bake in the sun. I even put on sunscreen and wore my sunglasses for most of the day. Jack and I headed to Thom's Creek located at the southern most part of the island. Few people drive to Thom's, other than fly fisherman and people who are looking to spend a few days camping in the backcountry. The most convenient creek access is roughly an hour's drive from Zimovia Highway, the only road running from town to the forest.
We returned and had dinner over a campfire and enjoyed the beautiful weather. After taking care of the house and dog, we returned to to camper and watched the sunset over Zimovia Strait.
Great news about the sunshine! Our wilderness is getting your rain. We hope Jack has not worked his way too far down this years list of 100 most missed things this early on in the Adventure.
