First Day at the Office

I had to use a crane to get Jack out of bed at 6:15 this morning. After the movie, we headed out to Nemo Point to our site. After some maneuvering, we got the camper into her resting place for the summer and crashed into bed around 11.

We sat and visited with the other members of the Rec crew before heading to the "family meeting", where all of the seasonal workers are introduced. Jack and I completed all of the paperwork and loaded the truck with our equipment. We also loaded the equipment truck with the bear box, picnic tables, and flagpole for our site.

We spent most of the morning working at our site before heading back to the Ranger office for our boat safety training.

Jack and I hit the store and the library before heading back to Nemo Point for dinner and a fire.

Speaking of fire, the seems to be a fire burning near our house back in Colorado. Reports from my wife and the local news affiliate indicate that it's burning in a SW direction (away from our house) and that it seems to be under control. Ill be swinging the chainsaw once we get back.
