I let Jack sleep until around 9am. We made breakfast of cereal and mountain goat sausage (just a little......everything in moderation). We stopped off to check in in the house and take the pooch for a walk. - I washed our sheets and caught up on the Blog.
Incidentally, I know that that there was a problem with the security setting on the video that I posted yesterday. I think that I got it fixed.
I intended to allow Jack an electronic day and this was the perfect opportunity. I did laundry and then headed off to hit two sites that I knew wound be in high demand this weekend. Several locals had already begun to set up and they welcomed us back for another season.
Jack and I had a late lunch of macaroni and cheese and halibut....only in Alaska.
I dropped Jack back at the house do that he could take the dog on her second for the day and to then watch a movie at the house while I helped my boss cut a load of yellow cedar firewood. We felled two trees near one of the rec cabins, hauled them out to the road, bucked them, and loaded them into his truck. We were hauling roughly 50 feet to the roadside. The bugs were incredible. I caught three in my eyes and inhaled four others.
Afterward, I picked up Jack at the house and we returned to camp around 8pm.
I'm having trouble getting the resident youth come out of his retirement from the weekly movie review - I'll continue to prod him.
Movie review. Movie review. Movie review. Movie review. (imagine banging of cutlery on table) Movie review. Movie review.
