Jack and worked the Nemo Loop and two sites near Thom's Lake before driving in to town.
I joined Jack at the library for an hour or so at which point I went for a run along the oceanfront. The half marathon takes place on the 28th and I'd not yet begun to stretch my runs so I decided to start. I ran just over ten miles out to Shoemaker Bay and back. The weather continues to hold a picture perfect pattern with each day starting with a layer of low hanging clouds which lift throughout the morning revealing a beautiful blue sky. It's been incredible.
I picked up Jack just as the library closed and, after a shower, we treated ourselves to dinner at the Stikine Inn. After all, "World War Z" was playing at the Nolan Center and we'd need our strength. Our friend Beth decided to join us at the last minute which gave Jack comfort. He was pretty apprehensive about seeing this movie as he's not a fan of fright. Beth would be there help to calm his nerves in the event of panic.
He's assured me that he'll be doing his first movie review on Monday.....stay tuned.
Can't wait for the review! Sam is reading "World War Z" along with "Of Mice and Men" (there's a combination) for school this summer. I thought I'd read it as well before seeing the movie.
