The road system was as quiet as I've ever seen it this morning. People were either sleeping in or taking advantage of the day off and beautiful weather to go fishing, or both.
Jack and I had a relaxing day around camp and headed out to the Earl West landing located on the Northern end of the Blake Channel.
I started preparing for the potluck around five but the first people didn't show up until the crack of six for what would turn out to be a local only event. The Forest Service usually does not plan a campfire program on the week of the fourth as there are so many events being held in town. Only the true potluck diehards attend this one.
There was a group of about fifteen of us and we ate and visited until well after eight until the bugs decided to shut it down around sunset.
