Greg -
Last night's potluck was wet and cold. The four day stretch of dry, cool weather came to a screeching halt yesterday afternoon and mother nature has been making up for lost time ever since. It's been raining steadily now for about fifteen hours with no end in sight. There was no ranger program last night, just a group of fifteen diehards and a couple visiting from Wisconsin.
Thanks to all of you who've posted comments. Please keep them coming.
Jack and I will be attending the Pixar movie "Brave" tonight at the Nolan Center. Look for Jack's review in the coming weeks. In addition to the movie, we've also got laundry, showers, and a quick visit to the library on our list.

We could use some of that rain here too -- crops are suffering and Springfield is going to enact a water conservation program.
ReplyDeleteIt's been terribly hot too -- actual temps around 100 or above, so the heat index has been terrible.
So what's the typical fare for potluck night? Since you "host" and provide the site (yes?) are you expected to provide food as well? If so, what do you make?
Jack is an adventurous cook -- a very admirable quality!
