Yesterday we went to the Anan bear observatory. But, sadly we didn't see any bears. We had to repaint the whole observation deck. This morning my back was SO sore it wasn't funny. My dad and I saw two more bears today so that brings the total bear count up to five. Please comment so we know how we are doing. We need more feedback! Thanks!

Hi Jack! Sorry I haven't commented in a week or more. I was on a little trip and just got back late last night. So, I'm busy today catching up on my reading of your blog and enjoying it immensely. I'm especially happy to see that you are posting more often now - keep it up! Shen Lung is camping over at my house while your Mom is up there with you and I have to tell you that little fish can sure swim fast! I fed him last night when I got home but he was sleeping and didn't really do much but by this morning he was darting around his fishbowl like crazy! We're finally getting a little rain this afternoon and it's much cooler so hopefully it is helping the firefighters. There is a new fire in Boulder that started yesterday, I think plus a very devastating one in Colorado Springs that started last week and has burned many homes. It's been a scary summer here in Colorado - be glad you are in Alaska. It sounds like you are having a good time. I hope you are enjoying the hermit bars that I sent with your Mom - if she had room for them in her bags. Please post more bear pictures!
