Greg -
I was the keynote speaker at graduation this year. It's held at Red Rocks amphitheatre and roughly 2,000 people attend the ceremony. I spoke about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude throughout life - I managed to escape relatively unscathed. I'll attempt to attach a video of the speech later today.
We finally made it to Bellingham earlier this afternoon after a week of long days at the wheel and a few nights in Walmart parking lots. As Jack mentioned earlier, we have been staying at an RV park in Issequah, Washington - just east of Seattle.
While there, I made several Costco runs to stock up on meat, cereal, and beer - all of the staples for life in Alaska - and things that will cost two to three times as much upon arrival. I used our food sealer to divide the huge packages of pork, hamburger, and chicken into meal sized portions. I've had the freezer plugged in for several days now and it's all hard as a rock. After several stops, we were able to track down 24 pounds of dry ice which will keep everything frozen until we dock on Sunday. The freezer will sit plugged in at the office and we'll visit it as needed throughout the summer.

I lived for years in Chicago and the traffic there pales in comparison to what we experienced in Seattle. It was amazing - thick traffic abounded regardless of the time of day. The Costco lot was routinely filled to overflow and their gas line was never less than six cars deep. Here we are marveling at the gas lines.
The following are a few of my favorite pictures from the previous week. Top to bottom: The "Gum Wall" at the fish market in Seattle, Ghost Valley (San Rafael Swell, Utah), Emigrant Springs State Park - Oregon.
We'll be en route for 48 hours - I'll check in periodically.
